Due to many players traveling, this Dixie tournament will be a blended format of Opens / Majors.  You can expect the tournament to be our typical 5-6 hours that you're used to as opposed to our shorter 2024 Open format.  We want to make sure that those traveling get as much play time as possible to make the trip worth while.  Also, 5.0 players can play together in this event as it traditionally has been a Major in the past and brought a more competitive roster.

SCHEDULE:

  • 9:00-9:30AM: Check-in and warm-ups.
  • 9:15-9:30: New players' clinic.
  • 9:30AM: Announcements & round robin begins.
  • 11:00AM (approx.): Elimination bracket begins.
  • All teams are guaranteed 2 bracket matches.
  • Expect the full tournament to last between 4-6 hours.

    • Dress for the weather, and be prepared for cold mornings and hot afternoons. Many players will have both long sleeve and short sleeve options to change into.
    • Water bottle! We will have jugs of water, but do not provide bottles, so make sure to bring a bottle to refill.
    • Footwear.  Many people will be wearing cleats, others tennis shoes, and some prefer barefoot. The choice is yours, but be aware.
  • How long will the tournament last?

    • Open Tournaments should take between 3-5 hours.
    • Major Tournaments (including Super Majors) should last between 5-8 hours, depending on how far your team makes it.  However, Beginner and Intermediate divisions are expected to finish a little quicker, roughly 4-6 hours.
  • Which division should I sign up for?

Each tournament will have various divisions based on the size of the tournament.  Please be familiar with the 2023 USAR Player and Division Ratings that you can find at the link below.  Please sign up for the division you and your teammate most accurately belong in to ensure teams are most competitive with each other.

If you can’t get enough spike, but are running low on funds, then volunteer in exchange for free registration!  We always need a few extra hands to help set up and clean up.  Volunteer opportunities are first come first serve, so if you are interested please email Taylor@utahroundnet.com right away and see how you can help.
